Our House

While our house may not look like 'much' to some people, to us, it's paradise. At night, you can hear a pin drop. For that matter, during the day, you can hear a pin drop. The driveway alone is 101 feet in length, and the front door of the house is no more than 400 feet from the edge of the Pacific Ocean. The back of the house lies on the very edge of the forest, and the entire home and yard is engulfed in beautiful tall Spruce, Hemlock and Redwood trees.

The weather here never rises above 75F, and never drops below 30F. These temperatures are 'extremes'. The average Summer day has a high temperature of about 70F, and the low of about 55F. The average Winter day has a high of 50F, and a low of 35F. It snows here about once every 2 years on average, and only then, there is barely enough to blanket the ground. No more than 1/2 of an inch of snow will fall here. Yet, 10 miles up the road to the East, it resembles the Winter grounds of the Northeast.
