Local Plants
Crescent City, CA.
While some of these plants might look familiar to you, others quite possibly may not, simply because
of the area in which you live (where many of these plants cannot grow). I've placed names under the
ones that I know for 100% certain. The ones without name captions are still be researched.

Amber seen in its early stages of formation.
The darker colored Amber is the oldest, and hardest.

Castle Ivy growing along our fence.

Castle Ivy growing up an old Spruce tree in our back yard.

Deer Fern. These fern plants can grow to over 6 feet high.

Fake Grape Vine. The leaves are nearly identicle to edible
grape vines, but the flowers are not. This is a highly toxic
plant that should never be injested.

Razor Fern

'Forest Ivy' is the local name for this variety of Ivy.

Giant Clover. This variety of clover spans an average of 3 inches across.

This type of Holly grows in bushes throughout the forests.
