Pet Toys

Cats and dogs will play with just about anything that they think looks like one of their toys (which, for cats, is everything in your house).

Some toys are 'ok', while others can actually pose dangers to your pet. Before purchasing a pet toy, think about if it might pose a problem for your pet (especially if your pet has any type of medical condition).

Since you know your pet better than anyone else does, it's probably best if you also look around your home for items that your pet might like to play with...that won't pose any type of hazard to them. (meaning, parts that will fall off over time and possibly choke them during play)

Here are some ideas for home made pet toys:

1. Balled up socks
2. Ball of yarn (old fashioned, but they love it)
3. Old shoelaces
4. Miniature stuffed animals (not beanie babies...these can burst open and the filler 'beans' can choke your pet)
5. Large empty thread spools

Just always remember to be VERY selective when you pick out toys for your pet to play with. :)
