With nearly 200 direct references to 'angels' in the Christian's Holy Bible, it's no wonder that humans have been fascinated by these spiritual beings since the beginning of humankind itself. But really, what are angels? To be honest, no one truly knows. There are many different types of angels. Angels of Light, Angels of Hope, Angels of Peace, Guardian Angels and the list can go on for ages. In fact, The Archangel Gabriel is the 'ruling angel' of over 100 different realms !! Now add the thousands upon thousands of legions of angels and well.... mass chaos can ensue rather quickly.

Let us not forget however, that as wonderful and good, kind and loving as angels of the Heavens are, or, can be.... the most powerful angel of all, does not reside within the gates of Heaven. This angel resides within his own self-made underworld. This angel was the very first angel ever supposedly created by God himself. This angel's name ? Lucifer. Created to rule over all the angels. Created as God's 'right hand', to behold for all the world and all the universe, this angel was indeed, 'the' angel of the universe. So what happened?

Becomming too close to God is an angelic 'no no' in the highest sense of the term. Attempting to become God, do not confuse this with trying to become LIKE God, but trying to BECOME God, is something that no angel will attempt to do after having bore witness to the falling of Lucifer. This is just one of those 'angelic rules of thumb' that is 'just known', and never betrayed. Oh...but you say Gabriel was a fallen angel too? Why, yes he was in fact! He is no longer fallen, having won back the graces of God, however, there was a time when Gabriel was also a fallen angel. This was his punishment for disobeying God's direct command.
